Dear Alarm Clock,
You sound off way too early on Monday mornings. Do you have a setting to make time stand still so I can sleep an extra hour?
Yours truly,
A Very Sleepy Roller Coaster
Dear Broken Heater,
This isn’t exactly the most ideal time of year for you to stop working. Can you please fix yourself so my family doesn’t have to eat breakfast with mittens?
Thanks,
A Freezing Family
Dear Angry Mother of One of My Students,
Can you please take it easy on me during our conference today? I want your son to succeed just as much as you do. We’re on the same side here. So let’s both keep an open mind and remember that we both want what’s best for your son.
Sincerely,
A Sympathetic Teacher
Dear Big C,
How is it possible that my baby boy is 7 years old?! I know all moms say this, but WHERE DID THE TIME GO? You are growing into an incredible young man, and my heart is bursting with pride. I love you.
Hugs and kisses,
A Proud Mama
PS–Now that you’re 7, you really have no excuse for not making your bed or clearing the dinner table. On the other hand, don’t you dare think you’re too old to give me hugs.
We all have times when we wish we could write a letter to someone or something to let them know how we really feel. Who or what would you write a letter to today? What would you say?
Care to share? Go ahead and write a letter you’ll never send and link it up below.
Dear neighbor on west side of our bedroom,
Do you realize how loud you talk or yell? The wall between your stairs/living room & my bedroom is thin, you live in an apartment, please act like it.
Sincerely,
Day sleeping, annoyed neighbor.
Too cute! Good luck with the parent conference! I wrote two letters just the other day so you must have read my mind! One is to my kitten and the other to my son 🙂
It seemed like frequently, the parents of the kids I worked with caused me more stress than the kids themselves! Good luck dealing with the more "challenging" ones 😉
Dear Roller Coaster,
I know you asked for a link, and I don't want you to think I can't follow directions, I just don't have time for that right now (not that I have time for this comment either… oops).
I'll listen better next time!

Now on to the real letter:
To whom it may concern (who will remain nameless),
Thank you for FINALLY doing your job (a month late). I know your life isn't on hold, but ours is, so please stop pulling at our heart strings.
A very frustrated wife!
~Kalen
I would probably write the same letter to my alarm clock haha..
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! Love yout header – super cute.
Fran
I wish I could find an alarm clock with the extra hour setting!
love the writing prompt – great idea! your letter to your alarm clock was very polite, i admire your restraint. i hope that you heater gets fixed SOON! (or that it gets warm *really* soon).
I was glad to hear the teachers side. As a parent I always try to remember that and I also take notes at conferences – that way any suggestions can be remembered later! my mind is old….
